 
Description:
No two Bubblets are the same, even if they have the exact same photo, logo or
image. Do to the properties of the glass cabochon each one will vary in size,
shape, lighting and magnification effects. One of the really nice features
are the little bubbles that became trapped in the glass while it was still
a molten marble. Each Bubblet is about the size of a dime to a penny (about
5/8" or 12mm wide). Bubblets can also be made at other sizes including
3/4" and 1.25" (35mm) upon request.
Quality:
We use only the best quality glass and supplies when creating Bubblets. Our glass
is very clear with just enough trapped air bubbles for the effect. We never
allow a bubble to cover ones eye or to take away from the image of a person.
We use a high resolution photographic process so the images never look dull
or home printed. We do not use glue but rather a acrylic epoxy making bubblets
virtually indestructible. Other similar products will separate from the magnet
from use, wetness or if dropped. All images and logos are die-cut or punched
so the edges are always sharp and clean. We back all bubblets with a replacement
warrantee.
The Process:
Once we have your photo we
clean and size the image. Next we produce
the
image
at a high resolution on glossy photographic
paper. After this step is approved by the
artist the image is carefully punched out
and trimmed with clean edges. Depending
on the product that you purchased we the
artist will then fuse the subjects image
to the glass cabochon and apply the appropriate
backing. And now you have a Bubblet. Sending Photos:
After ordering, photos
are accepted by mail, email and upload.
when mailing more than one photo you need
to let us know which photo goes with which
gift item. In a similar fashion if you
email or upload the photo we need the same
information. If emailing, Please try
to rename the photos with the "order#" + "item
code" + ".jpg" (example:
12345.#love.jpg). If you plan on cropping your photos
do not get to close to the subject because the artist
needs some margins to
work with. When we work with round bubblets the corners
are obviously cut away. If the corners are needed ask
about our square bubblets.
Cabochons:
A cabochon is a single-facted convex-cut gem imbued with
amazing magnifying properties. Ours are made from recycled
glass and only the best
make it to become a bubblet. The are generally made like marbles but allowed
to flatten before cooling. They
range
in size
from
3/8" (8mm) to 1.25" (32mm). Most of the products
on this site use the 5/8" size. Cabochons can also be
cut from semi-rare and rare stones like topaz, quartz and citrine
and be oval in shape.
